ARA-290 — 10 mg

$38.24

ARA-290, also known as cibinetide, is an erythropoietin-derived research peptide designed around tissue-protection signaling rather than red-cell production. Sources describe anti-inflammatory mechanisms and small human studies of sarcoidosis-associated small-fiber neuropathy. For research use only; not for human or veterinary use.

ARA-290 is a short engineered peptide derived from the tissue-protective structural region of erythropoietin, often discussed under the later name cibinetide. Researchers designed it to engage the proposed innate repair receptor, described as an erythropoietin-receptor/beta-common-receptor complex, while separating tissue-protective activity from erythropoietin’s red-blood-cell-stimulating effects. Its research themes include inflammation control, cytoprotection, neuropathic symptoms, and small-nerve-fiber repair. [1–3]

In a randomized pilot study involving 22 people with sarcoidosis and symptoms of small-fiber neuropathy, investigators reported improvement in a neuropathy symptom questionnaire relative to placebo. Other outcomes, including the main pain-intensity measure and fatigue scores, improved similarly in both groups, so the publication’s results are outcome-specific rather than an across-the-board claim of pain relief. [1] A separate blinded study reported improved neuropathic symptoms and increased corneal small-nerve-fiber density, with additional changes in sensory testing and walking capacity. [2] These are small, condition-specific human studies, accompanied by earlier animal neuropathy work. The descriptions support the characterization of ARA-290 as a tissue-repair research candidate, but do not establish the contents or performance of an unspecified commercial ARA-290 vial.
